Technology Council Names Award Winners
The Technology Council of Southern California named its 2007 Technology Company of the Year Awards last night at the Millenium Biltmore in Los Angeles. Among the companies receiving awards were WebVisible, for Emerging Software Company of the Year; WebsideStory for Software Company of the Year; Occam Networks, for Network and Security Company of the Year; ViewSonic Corporation, for Hardware and Storage Company of the year; Oversee.net for Internet and New Media Company of the Year; and Broadcom, for Mobile Company of the year. Two individuals were also recognized for their achievements, including George Klaus, CEO and Chairman of Epicor Software Corporation, for CEO of the Year; and Kerry Shih, CEO of SyncVoice Communications, for Entrepreneur of the Year. The Technology Council's black tie event recognized individuals and companies that the group felt have made extraordinary contributions to Southern California as a center for technological innovation.
