San Diego-based Optimer Pharmaceuticals said this morning that it has named Stephen Webster as the firm's new Chief Financial Officer. Webster was previously CFO of Adolar Corporation, and also served at Broadpoint Capital (formerly First Albany Capital), along with Neuronyx and PaineWebber. Optimer is apublicly held developer of antibacterial drugs.
