Google Starts Picasa Promotion
Just a few days after the acquisition of Pasadena-based Picasa by Google, the search engine giant has begun promoting the download of the Picasa software on its home page. A link from the Google home page now asks users to download Picasa to organize and find pictures on their PCs, and allows the installation of the Picasa 1.6 software. Google announced the acquisition of Picasa on Tuesday, however terms were not disclosed.
