Group Takes On Tesla In Super Bowl Ad

An anti-Tesla group--headed by the CEO of a Santa Barbara area high tech company--put out a 30 second ad on the Super Bowl on Sunday, alleging that Tesla's Full Self Driving (FSD) mode will "run down a child in a school crosswalk, swerve into oncoming traffic, hit a baby in a stroller, go straight past stopped school buses, ignore 'do not enter' signs, and even drive on the wrong side of the road." The Dawn Project is led by Dan O'Dowd, the CEO of Santa Barbara-based Green Hills Software, a developer of embedded operating system software. A Tesla engineer recently testified a 2016 demo of Tesla's self driving mode was actually staged.
