Gym Class Snags $8M

Los Angeles-based Gym Class, a startup developing virtual reality basketball apps, says it has raised $8M in a seed funding round. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and also included Y Combinator. The company says it is developing a VR basketball app on meta Quest App Lab, and will launch in Fall of 2022. Gym Class was founded by Matthew Harris, CEO, Justin Hubert, Chief Creative Officer, and Paul Katsen, Chief Product Office in 2019.
