Sherman Oaks-based Metapa (www.metapa.net) has tapped Sun Microsystems for an x86-based clustering solution. Metapa and Sun combined Metapa's clustering database with Sun Solaris-based servers. Metapa is focused on clsutered dtabase systems, and is backed by Dawntreader Ventures, Hudson Ventures, Royal Wulff Ventures, Saints Ventures, and Impact Venture Partners.
