Mindspeed Takes On the Connected Home
Newport Beach-based chipd eveloper Mindspeed is aiming at the connected home market with a new product, the firm said today. Mindspeed said it has extended its its Comcerto 1000 family of SoC processors with functions specifically aiming at set-top-box and multi-function broadband home routers. The semiconductor maker said its new chips are being used by equipment manufacturers--including ZyXEL--for DSL, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and cable applications.
