Mojix Finds $14M More For RFID Technology

Los Angeles-based Mojix, a developer of long range, RFID-based sensor network technology, said this morning that it has raised $14M in a Series D financing round. The funding was led by OMERS Ventures, and also included Mercury Ventures, plus Oak Investment Partners and the company's other prior investors. As part of the funding, Mercury's Rainier Busch, OMERS' Kent Thexton, and Oak Investment Partners' Bandel Carano join the company's board. Mojix is led by Dr. Ramin Sadr. The company sells its RFID tracking products into the retail, oil and gas, manufacturing, hospital, data server, and many other markets.
