Microfabrica Gets Air Force Validation
Burbank-based Microfabric announced that it has delivered a series of RF and microwave devices based on its microfabrication technology for the Air Force Research Laboratory. The devices are intended for military use in the area of antenna technology. Microfabrica manufactures microdevices for wireless, consumer electronics, automotive and military applications.

Peregrine Adds VP
San Diego-based Peregrine Systems has added Thomas Tobin as VP of Development. Tobin joins Peregrine from Fair Isaac Corporation. Tobin will be responsible for building Peregrine's next generation products.

Iomega CFO Resigns
San Diego-based Iomega (www.iomega.com) announced that Barry Zwarenstein has resigned as CFO. According to a statement released by the company, Zwarenstein decided to accept the CFO position for a Bay Area company, to avoid commuting between the Bay Area and San Diego.

Citysearch Names VP
Los Angeles-based Citysearch (www.citysearch.com) has named Taek Kwon as EVP Product and Technology. Kwon will focus on the local search area for Citysearch's business. Kwon was most recently VP of Engineering and operations at Hotwire, where he managed product development, quality assurance, and technology operations.

Citrix Tests Online Conferencing Service
Santa Barbara-based Citrix Online has introduced a new online conferencing service targeted at business meetings, and is making the service available for a free trial before the official launch of the service. The company's GoToMeeting service provides an easy interface to set up virtual meetings, and leverages Citrix Online's GoToMyPC technology. Citrix acquired Expertcity in December for $225M.

Los Angeles-based Actional has made a new developer version of its SOAPstation Web Services management tool available free of charge. The company's software provides developers with project-level Web services management tools, including monitoring service levels, managing lifecycles, and controlling security policies. Napster Signs Corporate Partners
Los Angeles-based Napster (www.napster.com), the relaunched download service that is now a part of Roxio, has signed Citi and Energizer as corporate partners to its music download service. Citi and Energizer will create customized promotions based on Napster's legal music download service. Citi Cards will make download credits available to certain users of its college credit cards, and Energizer will include music download credits on its battery packs.
