Occam Signs Reseller
Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks said that it has signed on Falcom Communications as a reseller. Falcon will reseller Occam's broadband quipment to telecommunications providers as part of Video-on-Demand and Voice-over-IP solutions.

Irvine-based I/OMagic said that is is shipping a new 8x external USB 2.0 DVD rewritable drive. The company's new drive supports dual format, double layer DVD writing and supports Windows XP/2000/Me/98SE operating systems. The company is targeting the portable device at home users.

SeeBeyond Lands UBS
Monrovia-based SeeBeyond announced today that the company's software will be used by UBS Global Asset Management to link its fund administration operations. UBS will tap SeeBeyond's integration software to connect and centralize its fund operations, which were previously split into multiple parts. Stellar Biotechnologies Wins $3M NIH Grant
Port Hueneme-based Stellar Biotechnologies announced last week that the company has been awarded $3M from the Nataional Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health for the development and commercialization of anti-cancer vaccines. The company is developing production methods, quality standards, and facilities for commercialing Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH) for use in anti-cancer vaccines. VU Games Sells Knowledge Adventure
Los Angeles-based Vivendi Universal Games announced that it has sold its Knowledge Adventure educational software business, to Knowledge Holdings, Inc., a new company formed by Azure Capital Partners and Telesoft Partners. Knowledge Adventure owns the popular JumpStart and Mathblaster educational software titles. Financial terms were not disclosed.
