Entretec Names Entrepreneurship Finalists
Pasadena Entretec (www.pasadenaentretec.com), a San Gabriel Valley based business organization, today is announcing six finalists for its Entrepreneurship Award. The award celebrates the entrepreneurial achievements of companies in the San Gabriel Valley. Bluebeam Software, Guidance Software, Language Weaver, LeisureLink, MediaDefender, and X1 Technologies have been named as finalists, with the ultimate winner to be named at an April event.

iRise Lands CNA
El Segundo-based iRise said this morning that CNA, one of the country's largest property and casualty insurance firms, has selected the company's application development tools. CNA will use the iRise application simulation platform. The iRise development platform allows companies to mock up web application without investing in web development time and coding, and is being used for prototyping and specifying web application behavior.

Morpho Technologies Raises $10M
Irvine-based Morpho Technologies has raised a Series C funding in the amount of $10M. The company said that the funding round was co-led by existing investors, Smart Technology Ventures and BridgeWest LLC. Morpho is developing high speed digital signal processors (DSP) targeted at software defined radio. The company also said that John Rayfield has joined the company as CEO. Rafield was most recently VP of Marketing for ARM, and also Novelchange, a business consultantcy.

Overture Completest Change To Yahoo! Search Marketing
Pasadena-based Overture Services, the pay-per-click division of Yahoo, said this morning that it has completed its brand change to Yahoo! Search Marketing. The group has now been fully re-branded as a Yahoo! property, and provides all of Yahoo's sponsor search offerings and listings products in a single site. The group now operates all of Yahoo's advertising options for sponsorship, in addition to submission of URLs to Yahoo's web sites.
