Streamload Appoints VP Engineering
San Diego-based Streamload announced this morning that it has added a new VP of Engineering to the venture-backed startup. David Dudas will join the company from SIPphone, where he was VP of Engineering. Dudas has also served as Director of Engineering at Vivendi-Universal/MP3.com.

Ixia Upgrades Test Platform
Calabasas-bsed Ixia announced this morning that it has upgraded its test architecture platform and strategy. The company's next generation Optixia test platform and Aptixia test application software involves a new test chassis line. SOA Software Ties Into Oracle
Santa Monica-based SOA Software announced this morning that its Web Services software is now supporting Oracle BPEL Process Manager customers. The software adds Service Oriented Architecture support for Oracle's process management tools, extending Oracle's platform to support Web services and SOA. Oracle's BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) tools support the emerging BPEL standard for managing services for process flow. Fastclick Taps Into Text Ad Format
Santa Barbara-based Internet advertising company Fastclick said this morning that it has begun offering Text Ads to its publishing and advertising clients. The new text ad format provides text-based ads similar to Google's AdWords program, and allows publishers to fit ads into a different format. Fastclick said that the ads can easily be fit into a publisher's web site by allowing them to make the ads any size they need.
