WebSideStory Completes Atomz Acquisition
San Diego-based WebSideStory said today that it has completed the acquisition of Avivo Corp (Atomz), a provider of site search and web content management. The deal was worth 3.1 million shares of stock and $4.3M in cash. The deal was announced earlier this year. WebSideStory adds integrated digital marketing services to its lineup as part of the deal, which also calls for Steve Kusmer, Atomz CEO, to become SVP and GM of the WebSideStory Search and Content Solutions business unit.

QUALCOMM Unveils New CDMA2000 Single Chip Solutions
San Diego-based QUALCOMM has unveiled a new line of single-chip solutions for the CDMA2000 entry level market. The company announced that its new QSC family is targeted at affordable voice and basic multimedia to the entry level market. The new chips combine baseband modem, multimedia engines, radio transceiver and power management functionality on a single chip. The QSC6010, QSC6020 and QSC6030 chips are pin- and software API compatible allowing manufacturers to adapt their designs as needed. Q (More info...)

NetZero Co-Founder Launches Net To Phone Startup

Experian Acquires LowerMyBills.com For $330M
Costa Mesa-based Experian announced yesterday that it has acquired Santa Monica-based LowerMyBills.com for $330M plus $50M in earn out. Experian said that it was acquiring the online lead generating company as part of the launch of Experian Interactive, a unit which combines Experian Consumer Direct (creidt reports), MetaReward and Affiliate Fuel (Internet marketing), and LowerMyBills.com.
