Homestore Looks To Limit Legal Costs
Westlake Village-based HomeStore this morning said that it has reached a settlement with former Chairman and CEO Stuart Wolff to limit the company's exposure to legal defense costs. The company said that it has agreed with Wolff to limit attorney's fees and other defense costs to a maximum of $11.0M. In exchange, the company said that it will not seek replayment of those funds. ReachLocal Signs Deal With Yellow Pages Firm
Encino-based ReachLocal said this morning that it has signed TMP Directional Marketing to offer its advertising platform to TMP customers. TMP is an agency that places Yellow Pages ads for local clients. The companies said that ReachLocal will offer TMP clients its online local marketing platform. ReachLocal provides a service to enable local advertisers to place online search ads and manage and maintain those advertising campaigns. MySpace.com Links Into Nine Inch Nail Concert Tour
Los Angeles-based social networking portal MySpace.com said today that it is sponsoring the Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age 40-city U.S. concert tour. The web site said that it would offer exclusive footage of the show, and connect the tour to its online members. MySpace operates a very popular web site centered around sharing music and interests with friends. Sennari Raises $5M Series B
Los Angeles-based Sennari announced yesterday that it has raised $5M in a Serires B venture funding. Funding was led by UV Partners and included participation from Novak Biddle and Blacksmith Capital. Sennari said that it would use the funds to build out its mobile loyalty platform. Carl Ledbetter of UV Partners will join the board. Sennari is developing mobile programs to generate loyalty for wireless carriers and content publishers, including rewards programs and entertainment titles.

DARPA Grand Challenge Qualifiers Set For Tomorrow
DARPA's robotic race program, the DARPA Grand Challenge, gears up tomorrow in Fontana in a national qualification event. The qualifier is a lead into the DARPA Grand Challenge, set for October 8, and pits robotic ground vehicles in a race to navigate, unaided, 150 miles through the desert. The event promises a $2M price to the team that is able to complete the challenge, designed to advance automonous robotic vehicle technology.
