Naryx Pharma Gets $8M
Santa Barbara-based Naryx Pharma has received $8M in venture funding, saying this morning that it has raised a Series B2 round from Vivo Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures. Naryx is developing proprietary products for the treatment of chronic sinusitis. The firm is heade dby Robin Campbell, former General Manager and Vice President of the Oncology Business Unit at Amgen. Chen Yu and Ed Engleman of Vivo will join the company's board of directors.

MySpace Hosts Magazine
Los Angeles-based MySpace.com is in a new deal to host the entire contents of the magazine NYLON. Nylon will release a free issue of its June-July issue on MySpace, allowing readers to download a full version of the entire magazine online. Nylon provides coverage of the music and fashion industries. Nylon said that will also include links to MySpace web pages throughout the magazine, and include music directories of MySpace featured artists, fan clubs, and groups in the issue. Boingo Buys Airport WiFi Operator
Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless is buying Concourse Communications Group, an airport WiFi network operator, the company said this morning. Terms were not disclosed. Boingo Wireless said that it will buy Concourse and will operate the firm's networks at 12 US airports. Concourse provides wireless network connectivity at JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, O'Hare, Midway, and other airports in the US and Canada. J.P. Morgan Securities advised Boingo on the acquisition. Google Gains In April Search Numbers
Google continues to gain search market share, according to the latest numbers from comScore Networks today. comScore reports that in April, Google received 43.1 percent of Internet search requests, up 6.6 percent from last year and up slightly up from March. Yahoo, MSN, Time Warner, and Ask Network continued as the top ranked search sites, slipping slightly in market share. Kintera Signs Cal State University System
San Diego-based Kintera, a provider of customer relationship management software for nonprofits, announced today that it has signed an agreement with the California State Unviersity (CSU) system to use its suite of software. Kintera said the CSU system will use its software across all 23 of its campuses. The company said that the tool will be used to track advocates for the university system, and manage relationships with constituents. PriceRunner Looks To Drum Up Members
Westlake Village-based PriceRunner is looking to drum up additional members for the site's comparison shopping service with a new promotion, saying that the site will award a vacation to Hawaii for members. PriceRunner, which is a business of Westlake Village-based ValueClick, provides online price comparison shopping services. Membership at the site is free.
