SAIC Buys GeoViz.com
San Diego-based Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has acquired Campbell-based GeoViz.com, a provider of software for the 2D and 3D viewing of geospatial data through web browsers. Terms were not disclosed. GeoViz.com serves government and military customers, who use the company's software for annotating and sharing geospatial data. Veoh Ties Into TNT
San Diego-based Veoh, an online video sharing and distribution site, has inked a deal with Turner Network Television. TNT and Veoh said today that they will team to promote the upcoming Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Steven King horror series. Veoh will create a channel dedicated to the series with interview with actors, directors, and behind-the-scene specials. Amp'd, Obopay Sign Payment Deal
Redwood City-based Obopay said today that it has inked a new deal with Los Angeles-based Amp'd Mobile to offer a new mobile payment service. Obopay, which is developing a mobile payment service, said that it will roll out the new service in coming months. Amp'd and Obopay will co-promote the system on university campuses across the country this fall. Obopay is developing a mobile payment service for mobile phones; Amp'd is a MVNO that offers mobile phone services targeted at the youth market.

MP3tunes Adds Nokia 770 Support
San Diego-based MP3tunes, the music storage service from Michael Robertson, has added support for the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. MP3tunes announced this morning that the new support allows users of the Nokia hardware to access their collection of MP3 music via a Wi-Fi connection. The new support requires the download of an Applet to the device. Emulex Ships SUSE Linux Drivers
Costa Mesa-based host bus adapter hardware maker Emulex is reporting that the firm's device drivers are being distributed in the latest SUSE Linux 10 distribution from Novell. Emulex said that its drivers have been built into the Linux kernel, and support the Linux 2.6 environment, Xen 3 server virtualization, and storage multipathing. Emulex is a developer of host bus adapters and switching technology for the storage area networking and data storage market.

Apani Adds Intel Mac Support
Brea-based Apani Networks, a provider off VPN software for enterprises, has added Intel-based Macintosh support. Apani said that its new VPN client software runs on Mac OS X Tiger. Apani provides corporate security software used to lock down enteprise computers. The new client software works on either Intel or Power Mac G4/G5 computers, and the Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 operating system.

Carlsbad-based ToutVirtual, a provider of software for the management of virtual computing, has added a new addition to its VirtualIQ software line. ToutVirtual said this week that its VirtualIQ 525 freeware software, which administrators use to manage server virtualization software from VMware and Xen, supports management of up to 5 CPUs or 25 virtual machines.
