Apriso Gets Win At Amcor
Long Beach-based Apriso, a firm which develops software for the manufacturing industry, said Thursday that its software has been selected for use by Amcor Flexibles, a division of chemical giant Amcor. According to Apriso, Amcor Flexibles' will use the firm's FlexNet product as part of a deployment alongside SAP. The firm said the software will be used to improve operations performance. Wonderware Names Exec
Lake Forest-based Wonderware, a business unit of UK-based Invensys, said earlier this week that it has named Sudipta Bhattacharya as President of Wonderware. Bhattacharya has been at invensys since August 2007, and was its Chief Software Solutions Officer; has has also served at SAP AG. According to Invensys, current President of Wondeware Mike Bradley is stepping down; the firm did not disclose where Bradley is leaving to. Bradley had headed the firm since November of 2002.

Endeavors Names Cole VP Sales
Irvine-based Endeavors Technologies, a company which provides software for distributing software applications, said earlier this week that it has named Andy Cole as the firm's Vice President of Sales Americas. Endeavors said that Cole joins from Swivel Secure, Inc., and has also served at Sphinx Ltd, Technology for Business Ltd., IBM, Cisco, and Compaq. Endeavors is a subsidiary of UK-based Tadpole Technology plc.

Iomega Adds Mac Leopard Support
San Diego-based Iomega, a manufacturer of hard drive storage devices, said Thursday that its Iomega UltraMax, UltraMax Pro, and MiniMax desktop hard drives now support Time Machine, a new backup feature in Mac OS Leopard. Iomega said that its drives are now pre-formatted for the Mac, and because of that are automatically recognized by Time Machine and used for the feature, which automatically backs ups users' computers. 3Tera Launches New Cloud Computing Product
Aliso Viejo-based 3Tera said earlier this week that the firm has released an alpha of a new cloud computing product. The firm said that its new product, Dynamic Appliances, package services like backup or migration in its grid operating system. The firm said the new products can be used by "dragging and dropping" them into applications using the firm's AppLogic services. 3Tera develops software-as-a-service which allows users to develop web applications.
