TVC Capital Buys Back Del Mar DataTrac
San Diego-based private equity firm TVC Capital said Wednesday that it has acquired Del Mar DataTrac from FiServ. Financial terms were not disclosed. Del Mar DataTrac provides back-office, lending software for automating the residential mortgage lending process. Del Mar DataTrac, which was known as Del Mar Database, was venture backed by TVC Capital before its purchase by FiServ in March of 2005. Arbor Surgical Pulls In $20M
Irvine-based Arbor Surgical, a developer of medical devices, said this week that it has closed on $20M in Series C funding. The funding was led by Medtronic, and was part of a licensing agreement between the companies. According to Arbor Surgical, Medtronic has been provided with manufacturing, marketing, and distribution rights to its advanced trilobal pericardial valve technologies. Jacked.com Takes On Super Bowl
Santa Monica-based Jacked, which develops products which provide real-time, synchronized information between sports games and television broadcasts, said Wednesday that it has launched a beta of a new product ahead of the Super Bowl. The firm said its SportsTop product will monitor the Super Bowl XLII broadcast, and provide real-time information to the PCs of sports fans. WonderHowTo.com Raises Series A, Launches How-To Video Site
Santa Monica-based WonderHowTo.com said Wednesday that it has closed a Series A investment led by General Catalyst Partners. Financial terms of the funding were not disclosed. The firm also said it has launched a new, How-To video site which features a video guide and index of web instructional videos. MySpace Names Kapur COO
Los Angeles-based social networking website MySpace said today that it has named Amit Kapur as the firm's Chief Operating Officer. Kapur has been at MySpace since 2005, and has served as the firm's VP of Business Development since 2006. According to MySpace, Kapur will spearhead development and implementation of all global business operations for MySpace. Kapur previously served at NBC-Universal. MySpace is a unit of Fox Interactive Media.

Qlogic Links With Sun
Aliso Viejo-based storage networking hardware provider QLogic said Tuesday that Sun Microsystems is now offering the firm's SANbox 9200 Fibre Channel switches as part of its storage networking portfolio. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Sun Microsystems will offer the switch to its enterprise storage customers. Broadcom Gets Design Win At Toshiba
Irvine-based Broadcom said Tuesday that it has been selected by Toshiba as part of Toshiba's new Satellite notebooks. Broadcom said that its media PC technology is being used to enable high quality HD DVD playback for three new notebooks, including Toshiba's Satellite P205, Satellite A205, and Qosmio F45. DataDirect Networks Hires Sales VP
Chatsworth-based DataDirect Networks said today that it has hired Scott Genereux as the firm's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
