AML Communications Acquired by Anaren
Camarillo-based AML Communications, a developer of microwave amplifiers and integrated assemblies for defense electronics applications, has been acquired by Anaren, Anaren said Monday. The deal was worth approximately $29.3M, with an enterprise value of approximately $22.6M. ProFounder Financial Scores $185K
Los Angeles-based startup ProFounder Financial, which is looking to harness the power of crowds to help fund startups and businesses, has raised $185,000 as part of a $1.0M debt funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm. No details on the funding have been announced. ProFounder said it helps entrepreneurs get funding from their friends and family, and handles sharing of revenue, paperwork, legal compliance, and other efforts for those startups. Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. Names Paisley CFO
Los Angeles-based Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the provider of business credit information firm headed by Jeffrey Stibel, the prior President and CEO of Web.com and GM of United Online, said today that it has hired Sam Paisley as CFO for the company. Paisley was most recently at ValueClick, having served as chief financial officer, chief operating officer and chief administrative officer. SolarFlare Ties With HPC VAR
Irvine-based Solarflare Communications, which develops 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapters and semiconductors, said today that it has inked a reseller agreement with Advanced HPC, a provider of high performance computing and Linux clusters. The firm said that the move will expand its VAR program, and help it reach buyers in the education, government and defense sectors. Advanced HPC is based in San Diego.

Specific Media Snags Two From Fox Audience Network
Irvine-based Internet advertising network operator Specific Media is continuing to bolster its executive staff, saying today that it has named Fabrizio Blanco as its Chief Technology Officer, and Jason Knapp as Executive Vice President of Product. Blanco joins from Fox Audience Network, which was recently acquired by Rubicon Project. Blanco has also served at Strategic Data Corp. Sidebar Signs Two Partners
Santa Monica-based Sidebar, the developer of mobile menu systems which is backed by Mobile Media Ventures, said today that it has inked two strategic partnerships. The firm said it is in strategic partnerships with Takenet and UTV Indiagames, to delier its products to mobile operators and telcos. UberMedia Gets $17.5M From Accel Partners
In the third, separate piece of news from Pasadena-based UberMedia today, the firm said it has completed a financing round from Accel Partners this morning. The firm raised $17.5M in the new funding round. UberMedia, which is headed by Idealab's Bill Gross, said the funding also included Steve Case of Revolution Ventures and Danny Rimer of Index Ventures. TCA Gets First Close On Angel Fund
The Tech Coast Angels announced this morning that it has had a first close on its Angel Capital Entrepreneurial (ACE) Fund 1, the firm's new early-stage investment fund. The fund--which has been in the works since last year--is aimed at making it easier for the TCA to move quickly to invest in companies. UberMedia Launches UberCurrent
Pasadena-based UberMedia, the Twitter client company headed by Idealab's Bill Gross, announced this morning that it has launched yet another Twitter application, called UberCurrent. The firm said the new client, available for iPhone, lets people follow "influential" Twitter users, even if they don't have their own Tiwtter account. Aerovironment Ships Home Charging Systems
Monrovia-based Aerovironment reports today that it has started shipping and installing its first residential smart charging systems for electric cars. The firm said it has began installing UL-listed chargers for both single family and multi-unit residences. Aerovironment's chargers are aimed at the elctric vehicle and plug-in hybrid market. Quest Software Buys e-DMZ Security
Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software said this morning that it has acquired a access control and identity management software firm, e-DMZ Security, LLC. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Quest said the acquisition would strengthen its identity management solutions. e-DMZ develops software used for password management, session management, and privileged command management.

UberMedia Buys TweetDeck, Say Reports
Pasadena-based UberMedia, the Idealab startup which is amassing a suite of Twitter related client applications, has acquired Tweetdeck, the provider of a third party Twitter client, according to multiple reports. The firm has not yet formally announced the deal. UberMedia is reportedly paying $30M for Tweetdeck. UberMedia has been busy buying up Twitter related client software firms, so far buying client apps Mixx, UberTwitter, Echofon, and Twidroyd Twitter clients. Conatus Pharmaceuticals Raises $20M
San Diego-based Conatus Pharmaceuticals said Friday afternoon that it has closed a $20M, Series B funding round. The firm, which is developing treatments for Hepatitis C, said the funding was led by AgeChem Venture Fund, and also included Aberdare Ventures, Advent Venture Partners, Bay City Capital, Gilde Healthcare Partners, and Roche Venture Fund. Telogis Raises $2.8M
Aliso Viejo-based Telogis, a provider of location-based intelligence software and services for fleet routing, has raised $2.8M, according to a regulatory filing by the firm. No details of the funding have been announced. The funding round closed on the same day as Telogis acquired Integris, a provider of rounting, mobile resource, and fleet management software.
