ShoeDazzle Raises $40M
Los Angeles-based ShoeDazzle.com, the online shoe buying club headed by Brian Lee, the founder of LegalZoom, has raised $40M in a new funding round. The funding was led by Andreessen-Horowitz, and also included the firm's prior investors. ShoeDazzle, which was co-founded by celebrity Kim Kardashian, sends customers new shoes, jewelry, and handbags each month. The new round brings ShoeDazzle's total funding to $60M. Fisker Automotive Raises Another $100M
Irvine-based Fisker Automotive, the developer of electric and hybrid cars, has raised another $100M in funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Friday. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. The funding was part of the firm's Series C funding. Fisker has previously raised funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, New Enterprise Associates, A123 Systems, Palo Alto Investors, Qatar Investment Authority and Quantum Fuel Systems.

ShareSquare Raising $1.5M
Los Angeles-based ShareSquare, the QR-code firm headed by Matthias Galica, said Friday that the firm is in the process of closing $1M to $1.5M in funding on AngelList, as the firm ramps its development efforts. Galica said it is looking to double its existing, six-person team to more quickly develop its products. ShareSquare develops a service which allows users to create their own QR codes--3D barcodes--which are being used for promoting musicians, bands, and other entertainment. Report: Hulu Near Network Deal
A report today says that Los Angeles-based Hulu is close to inking a new deal with its network owners. According to AllThingsD, the deal will keep programs from NBC, Fox and ABC on the video site. There had been some rumors that the networks were pondering pulling their support from the site, as some of the original network executives backing Hulu had departed their jobs, and Hulu CEO Jason Kilar himself challenged the industry's business model earlier this year.

Demand Media Inks Major Deal With L'Oreal
Santa Monica-based Demand Media is in a major partnership with L'Oreal USA, the two said this morning. According to the two companies, the two will develop custom content and media to help connect L'Oreal brands with women seeking personalized beauty solutions, via both typeF.com and eHow. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. ReachLocal Tapped By UK Government
Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal, the provider of local online marketing services for small and medium sized businesses, announced this morning that it has been recognized by the British Government for its efforts in the UK. ReachLocal said it received the UKTI Business Innovation Award from UK Trade & Investment, as part of BritWeek. Cornerstone Sees Strong Growth In Q1
Santa Monica-based Cornerstone OnDemand, the newly public developer of talent and learning management software, has reported its first quarter 2011 results, saying it saw a 63 percent, year-over-year increase in revenues for the first quarter. The firm said it had a total revenue of $15.7M for the quarter. Cornerstone OnDemand, which is headed by Adam Miller, hit the market in its IPO debut on the NASDAQ Global Market as CSOD on March 17th. Conexant Gets Investment From August Capital
Newport Beach-based semiconductor maker Conexant Holdings announced late Thursday that the firm has scored an investment from venture capital firm August Capital. Amount of the new funding was not disclosed. Conexant recently went private after an acquisition by Golden Gate Capital in February. As part of the funding, Andy Rappaport of August has joined Conexant's board of directors.

SYSPRO Adds Reseller
Costa Mesa-based SYSPRO, the developer of enterprise resource planning software, said this week that it has added a new reseller. The firm said that it has added New York software reseller Dataccount to provide its ERP software to mid-market manufacturers and distributors in the New York Tri-State area.
