FBI Drops Apple Lawsuit After It Hacks San Bernardino Shooter's iPhoneThe FBI said in a legal filing on Monday that it is dropping its lawsuit against Apple, after its successfully access the data stored on the iPhone of San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook. Sonos Loses Chief Product Officer, Says ReportSanta Barbara-based Sonos has lost its Chief Product Officer, Marc Whitten, according to reports this morning. Whitten--who had only been Chief Product Officer at the company for two years--had been in charge of the release of the PLAY:5 speaker and associated apps. Whitten had joined Sonos two years ago from Microsoft, where he had been Chief Product Officer and Corporate Vice President heading up that company's Xbox One efforts. Sonos had not yet announced any details on the departure.

Evercar Plans LA Expansion For EV Rentals For Uber, Lyft DriversLos Angeles-based Evercar, a company which is developing an electric vehicle sharing network--starting with Los Angeles--says it plans a major expansion in this market, and plans to add as many as 1,000 vehicles in the Greater Los Angeles area. 3D Robotics Shuts San Diego OfficeDrone maker 3D Robotics, the high profile, consumer drone maker, has closed its San Diego offices and is now refocusing on the enterprise market, according to a number of reports. The shutdown of 3D Robotics' San Diego offices also sees the loss of 3D Robotics co-founder Jordi Munoz, who helped founded the drone maker in San Diego.
