    Nexsan Eyes Acquisition

Woodland Hills-based Nexsan is on the prowl for acquisitions, and is apparently set to acquire startup EverTrust, a company in the content-addressed storage (CAS) market today, according to publication Byte & Switch. Nexsan, a maker of Serial-ATA (SATA), low-cost storage arrays, is reportedly looking to make a move into the compliance market, which is booming due to Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Content-Addressed Storage is being used by financial institutions and others who need to store a large amount of fixed content, a key application of low-cost storage such as Nexsan's Serial ATA products.
