Nirvanix Adds Tenth Data Center

Online storage provider Nirvanix, which is based in San Diego, announced today that it has expanded out its network of data center nodes. Nirvanix said it has added a new node at the Switch SuperNAP data center, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the tenth node in its global storage network. The cloud-based storage provider said the node is being used to upload and replicate data from other nodes, for protection and disaster recovery, as well as enabling access globally. Nirvanix, which is led by Scott Genereux, did not detail out any business arrangements between the companies. Nirvanix offers up its online storage service to companies, and recently has focused on the enterprise market.
