Qualcomm, Preh In Electric Vehicle Technology Deal

San Diego-based Qualcomm, and Preh, GmbH, which is part of Joyson Electronics Group, said this morning that the two are in a new, wireless electric vehicle charging license agreement. The two said the deal will allow Preh to develop, make, and supply wireless electric vehicle charging systems for the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) market, based on Qualcomm's Halo technology. Financial details of the licensing deal were not announced by the companies.
