Second Sight Medical Names COO

Sylmar-based Second Sight Medical Products, the medical device developer which is developing implantable, visual prosthetic devices, has named a new Chief Operating Officer this morning. Second Sight said it has named Pat Ryan as its COO, effective immediately, heading up its Research & Development, Manufacturing, Planning & Materials, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology. Ryan had previously served at Synaptive Medical, Lucero Dynamics, Insulet Corporation, Alphatec Spine, as well as Guidance and Abbott Vascular, plus the U.S. Navy.
