Theorycraft Games Gets $50M

Los Angeles-based Theorycraft Games, an independent game studio, said this morning that it has raised an additional $50M in its Series B funding. The funding was led by Makers Fund and also included NEA and a16z. The company said it will use the funding to continue developing its first game, which it says is a team-based game focused on "adventure, creativity and high-stakes combat". Theorycraft Games is led by CEO and co-founder Joe Tung; the company said its team has worked on such titles as VALORANT, Overwatch, Arcane, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Halo, Destiny, and Legends of Runeterra.
