URB-E Becomes Llama, Focuses On Last Mile Delivery

Los Angeles-based URB-E, which originally had been developing electric scooters, has changed its name to Llama, and re-focused on developing last-mile delivery systems. According to the company had branched into developing "micro-containers" for last mile, urban logistics, providing micro-containers which are pulled by small, electric vehicles, and can be used to deliver products in densely urban areas, such as New York City. The company was founded by Sven Etzelsberger and Peter Lee. Llama says its micro-container vehicles require 5 times less space than vehicles or vans, and reduce CO2 emissions by 95% compared to traditional van or truck delivery.
