USC Entertainment Technology Center Adds Sponsor

The Entertainment Technology Center at USC, a nonprofit which is part of USC's School of Cinematic Arts, said Tuesday that the firm has added LG Electronics as a sponsor. The nonprofit--which focuses on bringing together entertainment, technology, and consumer electronics--said that LG Electronics will sponsor a showcase of products, services, and technologies, and serve on an advisory board. The center--which was established by George Lucas in 1993--is also sponsored by Disney, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, NBC-Universal, Viacom/Paramount, Warner Bros., Cisco, Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, Inc., Lucasfilm Ltd, and Thomson. The nonprofit is headed by David Wertheimer, previously president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, and CEO of WireBreak Entertainment.
