VIAVIA Sees $8M Seed for Fashion E-Commerce

A new, Los Angeles-based startup VIAVIA, says it has raised $8M in a seed funding round, to launch what it calls a "fashion retail destination catered to Gen Z shoppers". The funding was co-led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Basis Set Ventures, plus Exor Seeds, Backend Ventures, and Andrew Ng's AI Fund. The company says the new funding comes on an earlier, $1.15 million pre-seed funding in February of 2022. VIAVIA says it is "marrying creator-driven live and short-form video content with end-to-end, AI-powered tech infrastructure for the fashion supply chain" to power fashion e-commerce. The company is led by Sixuan (Six) Li, who serves as co-founder and CEO.
