XCOR Claims Progress On Space Vehicle

Mojave-based suborbital spacecraft developer XCOR Aerospace claims it is making progress in bringing the company's spacecraft to market, saying it is moving towards its first flight. XCOR said it is making "rapid progress" towards final assembly of it spacecraft, and has attached what it says is a key part of its aircraft--the carry-through spar--to the rear-end of the Lynx fuselage. XCOR is focused on developing a two-seated, suborbital vehicle which will take humans to 330,000 feet. XCOR has been working on its vehicle since at least 2005.
