Yahoo Kicks Off Advertising Promotion
Pasadena-based Yahoo! Search Marketing this morning kicked off a contest aimed at small businesses, to provide 10 million free Yahoo! Ads to a company that Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group judges best in terms of business plan and the ability to "think big". The newly renamed Yahoo group,formerly the Overture pay-per-click search marketing business, is using the promotion to push its Yahoo search engine advertising business. The winner of the promotion will receive customized, targeted online advertising campaigns, ranging from its sponsored search, contextual ads, and local listings products.
