    YouMail Takes On Politics

Irvine-based personalized voicemail startup YouMail said this morning that it has rolled out a new addition to its service, which allows people to add voicemails encouraging callers to vote for the candidate of their choice. The new service, which YouMail is billing "Vote with Your Greeting" will encourage people who call YouMail users to vote for a specific candidate. The firm said it has created greetings for Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Barack Obama, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. YouMail recently scored $4.5M in a venture round from VantagePoint Venture Partners; the firm has also received funding from the Tech Coast Angels.
