San Diego-based Active Network said this week that it has launched a new tool aimed at meeting planners and travel managers. The firm said the tool helps those users choose destinations for business events, by recommending options based on historical airfare and room rates, carbon emissions, and other factors. Active Network explained that it has partnered with Carson Wagonlit Travel for the technology and database behind the new tool. The new tool is part of its StarCite SM platform. Pricing on the new offering was not announced.
