    Akonix Upgrades Instant Messaging Software

San Diego-based Akonix Systems has upgraded its Akonix L7 Enterprise instant messaging security software. The company said that it has launched version 4.3 of its product, adding integration with the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005, personalized archiving of instant messaging conversations, and support for Google Talk, Google's new instant messaging service. The new version of the Akonix tool also improves the tool's ability to synchronize with enterprise directory services via LDAP, support for Microsoft's LCS clustering and fail-over tool, and automated purging of its database. The Akonix software is used to filter viruses and monitor instant messaging for companies.
