Invisible Universe Lands $12M For Internet Animation Studio

Los Angeles-based Invisible Universe, an "Internet-first" animation studio, said this morning that it has raised $12M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Seven Seven Six, and also included Cosmic Venture Partners, Dapper Labs, Franklin Templeton, Gaingels, Initialized Capital, Schusterman Family Investments, Wheelhouse and Spencer Rascoff's 75 & Sunny. The funding also included angels celebrities Serena Williams and Jennifer Aniston, plus TCG, CASSIUS and Will Smith's Dreamers VC. The company said it is the an "internet-first animation studio" which is developing "new animated IP" across social media and web3. The studio says it is developing original animated character franchises on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube in partnership with celebrities and others.
