Carlsbad-based life sciences equipment company Life Technologies announced today that it has acquired Advanced Microscopy Group, a developer of imaging systems for research microscopy. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Life Technologies said that Advanced Microscopy Group (incorporated as Westover Scientific, Inc.) will become part of its Flow Cytometry and Imaging business unit.
