Santa Ana-based simulation software developer MSC Software has acquired a developer of advanced materials simulation software, e-Xstream, the company said today. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. e-Xstream's software already works with a range of MSC's software tools. That software is used for failure prediction of parts in a structural system, and reduces the costs of physical testing needed to validate those systems.
