Nomadix Rolls Out In Hermosa Beach
Westlake Village-based Nomadix announced that its Univeral Subscriber Gateways have been installed in Hermosa Beach's citywide wireless network. The company's public access solutions are part of Hermosa Beach's plan for a HotZone providing free wireless internet access downtown, at City Hall, and adjacent neighborhoods. Etronica Launches Website Management System
Pacific Palisades-based Etronica announced it has released its PublishPal service, a web site mangement system targeted at small organizations. The new ASP-based software provides pre-built components, integrated into a simple-to-use web interface. PivX Launches Security Solution
Newport Beach-based PivX Solutions has announced new intrusion prevention software. The company's Qwik-Fix Pro tool blocks vulnerabilities in system and application software. The new tool leverages research from PivX to identify and fix root cause vulnerabilities, ahead of patch availability from manufacturers. WebSideStory Lowers Offering Range
San Diego-based WebSideStory has offered its IPO offering range. According to a filing made this morning with the SEC, WebSideStory is estimating its offering range between $8.00 and $9.00 a share, down from an earlier $10.00 to $12.00 a share. WebSideStory provides web site analytics services, which allows ecommerce providers to analyze the traffic patterns and effectiveness of web sites.

Google Lowers Offering Range
Google has lowered the company's estimated offering price, down from an earlier $135 a share, to between $85.00 and $95.00 a share, as it has concluded the unusual bidding process on its IPO shares. It also released its quarterly results ending June 30, and reported earnings of $79M on revenues of $700.2M. The company is expected to sell its stock any day now, as it works through the final hurdles in paperwork with the SEC.
