Disney Broadcasts To iTunes Radio
Burbank-based Disney's Radio Disney radio is now available via Apple's iTunes Radio Tuner, the company said today. Radio Disney said today that its broadcasts are listed in the Top 40/Pop section of Apple's web site. Google's Southern California Farm Team
Google's acquisition yesterday of Neven Vision is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Google of Southern California firms. Southern California has a steady history of acquisitions by search engine leaders. The semiconductor business doesn't get the headlines the Internet business does, and seems to have somewhat fallen out of favor with many venture capitalists. Boingo Wireless Find $65M in Series C
Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless has raised $65M in a Series C funding, the firm is announcing today. The funding was led by Mitsui & Co., and included new investors Mitsui Corporate Development Funds and Mitsui USA, along with Steelpoint Capital Partners and Red Rock Ventures. Existing investors New Enterprise Associates and Sternhill Partners also participated. The funding takes the firm's total venture capital raised to $95M in three rounds of funding. Google Buys Neven Vision
Google has made another purchase of a Southern California technology company, saying late this morning in its blog that it has acquired Neven Vision, a Santa Monica-based firm that provides image recognization software. Google said in its blog that it does not have any specific features to show off today from Neven, but that the technology could be used to automatically extract information from a photo. Yahoo, go2 In Mobile Search Ad Agreement
Irvine-based go2 Directory Systems and web search giant Yahoo said this morning that the two companies have signed an agreement on mobile search advertising. Yahoo's sponsored search listings will be used in go2's mobile search results, and mark the first time Yahoo's ads will be used on mobile devices. go2 is a provider of local search services, and operates a number of search services that are distributed by U.S. wireless carriers.

Eyespot Rolls Out Online Publishing Tools
San Diego-based Eyespot has rolled out a new set of video editing and remixing tools, saying Tuesday that it has expanded its offerings to offer "one click" publishing of user videos through La Jolla-based Veoh or blip.tv's online video services. Users of eyespot's remixing tools can now quickly publish their videos to either of those online, user driven video sites. Iomega Signs Agreement On Managed Services
San Diego-based Iomega announced this morning that it has entered into a strategic partnership with C I Host, a web hosting company, to market Iomega's firm's managed services products. Iomega also said that it has finalized its acquisition of San Diego-based CSCI, a provider of managed services and outsourced IT.
