Celerus Gets $9M
Santa Barbara-based Celerus Diagnostics said today that it has received $9M in a Series B funding, led by Merriman, Curhan and Ford, the investment bank. Celerus is developing medical devices for rapid cancer diagnostics. The new round of funding brings the company's total raised to around $11.7M, including a previous round that the company announced in December of 2005. The firm is targeting pathology laboratories with its technology.

Boeing To Shut Down Connexion
Boeing today said that it has decided to exit the high-speed broadband communications market, and will shut down its Connexion by Boeing service. The firm said that the market for the service has not materialized as has been expected. Boeing said that it expects that the majority of Connexion employees will find other jobs within the company, and that it willtake a pre-tax charge of up to $320M. Quest Receives Nasdaq Notice, Faces Delisting
Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software said today that it has received a Nasdaq Staff Determination letter, indicating that the firm is not in compliance with continued listing requirements, and is subject to delisting. The firm received the notice because it did not file its 10-Q for the quarter on time. Quest had delayed the filing of its 10-Q due to an ongoing investigation into the firm's stock options grant practices. Teledyne Completes Acquisitions
Los Angeles-based Teledyne Technologies has completed the acquisition of two firms, announcing today that it completed the acquisition of CollaborX, for $17.5M, and the majority of Ocean Design, for approximately $30M. CollaborX is a Colorado Springs, Colorado-based provider of government engineering services to the U.S. Air Force. Emulex Gets Symantec Cert
Costa Mesa-based Emulex, a provider of storage networking products, said today that it has received a certification of its 4Gb/s PCI-X and PCI Express host bus adapters (HBAs) with Symantec's Storage Foundation 5.0 software.
