inQ Raises $7.75M
Los Angeles-based inQ, a provider of online live sales chat services, said today that it has raised $7.75M in a Series C round of funding. The venture round was led by Emergence Capital and Partech, and also included existing investors Dolphin Equity Partners, Hudson Ventures, and Vertrue. inQ will use the funding to enhance the firm's technology platform, and its services. Transcepta Finds $3M
Aliso Viejo-based Transcepta, a provider of electronic invoicing and payment services, said today that it has raised $3M in a second round of funding. The Series A1 funding was led by the Tech Coast Angels, an existing investor in the firm. Transcepta said it will use the funding to expand its infrastructure and marketing efforts. Tracepta develops electronic invoicing systems for small and medium sized businesses.

MySpace Partners With Cingular
Los Angeles-based MySpace and Cingular said today that they are in an exclusive partnership to offer MySpace via Cingular mobile phones. MySpace said that Cingular customers will get exclusive access to MySpace's web site via Cingular's mobile services, including access to editing profiles, posting photos and blogs, and sending and receiving MySpace messages. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The new service will cost Cingular users $2.99 a month plus data usage charges for access.

Digital Insight Adds Multifactor Authentication Features
Calabasas-based Digital Insight said this morning that it has implemented new multifactor authentication solutions in its online banking products. The firm said that its new authentication capabilities meet an upcoming deadline set by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) for implementing multi-factor authentication, which uses additional information and questions and answers to ensure customers are really who they say they are.

Linksys Ships... iPhone
Irvine-based Linksys said today that it is shipping a new line of voice over IP based telephony systems called the iPhone. The new equipment will provide voice-over-IP support for voice over IP applications such as Skype and Yahoo Messenger, and will also include landline phone connectivity. The launch comes after a much-rumored launch of voice over IP products under the same name from Apple Computer, which popularized the use of i-products with its iTunes and iPod products. CinemaNow Adds A&E, Showtime Content
Marina Del Rey-based CinemaNow said today that it has signed a licensing agreement with Showtime Networks and A&E Television Networks. Both networks will include their content on CinemaNow's video on demand service. The deal covers download-to-own content, and will be priced at $1.99 per episode. AETN channels covered in the deal include A&E Network, The History Channel, and the Biography Channel.

SKY MobileMedia Partners With Phone Chip Manufacturer
San Diego-based SKY MobileMedia, a provider of software for the wireless handset industry, has scored a design win with a phone chip manufacturer. Austin, Texas-based Silicon Laboratories and SKY MobileMedia said today that they have partnered ona pre-integrated solution that combines SKY MobileMedia's applications software with Silicon Laboratories single-chip cell phone.
