Ad.ly Launches Analytics
Los Angeles-based Twitter advertising startup Ad.ly has just launched a new Twitter analytics product, the firm said Thursday afternoon, which allows Twitter users to see statistics on their account. According to Ad.ly, the new Ad.ly Analytics services allows users to see how many engaged followers a user has, audience gender, location, and other information. RealD, Sony Link On 3D TV Effort
Los Angeles-based RealD, a supplier of hardware for projecting 3D movies, and consumer electronics giant Sony are in a pact to bring 3D television to the market, the firms said Thursday. According to Sony and RealD, their technology partnership will aim to bring immersive, 3D home entertainment to consumers beginning next year, using Sony's LCD panel televisions in sync with 3D eyewear based on RealD's technology. Break Media Inks Video On Demand Deal
Los Angeles-based Break Media, which operates a number of male-oriented video and other content sites, announced Thursday that the firm has inked a deal with IPTV firm Clearleap. According to Break, the deal calls for Clearleap to include a part of Break's video library in Clearleap's Content Marketplace, which is used by cable and IPTV providers for serving up their video on demand programming. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Tesla Kicks Off Promo From LA Store
Electric car firm Tesla Motors is looking to clog up traffic a bit more along Santa Monica boulevard this morning, as the firm kicks off a 2,700 mile roadtrip starting at its Los Angeles store at 10 today. According to Tesla, Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, its customers, and employees are gathering at the store this morning to kick off a road trip to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. Emulex Licenses Technology From Alacritech
Costa Mesa-based Emulex, a developer of storage networking products, said today that it has signed a deal with Alacritech, a developer of TCP/IP offload technology, which will give it access to Alacritech's patent portfolio. Financial details of the licensing deal were not disclosed. Emulex said the deal will give it access to support for Microsoft's Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Chimney architecture for its OneConnect network adapter line.

RightScale Partners With Content Management Firm
Santa Barbara-based RightScale, a developer of cloud computing software, has linked with a London developer of enterprise content management software, Alfresco Software, the two said this week. Symwave Wins LaCie
Laguna Niguel-based Symwave, a developer of semiconductors for the USB 3.0 market, has scored a win with storage products firm LaCie, the two said today. According to the firms, they are rolling out a dual hard disk RAID storage solution based on the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard. The new product uses Symwave's USB 3.0 dual SATA and RAID bridge controller. The new product provides capacity of up to 4TB for Mac and PC users. Rubicon Project: 270 Percent Year over Year Growth
Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project, the online advertising optimization service firm headed by Frank Addante, is claiming this morning that the firm saw 270%, year over year growth in 2009. According to the firm, it served up more than 350 billion ads through its platform this year. The firm did not disclose any financial, but said it now has 150 employees.
