Goldstar Seats You With Friends With New Ticketing Feature
Pasadena-based Goldstar, the half-price, entertainment ticket retailer headed by Jim McCarthy, said Monday that it has launched a new feature which lets users easily get seats next to their friends on events. The firm said its "Sit with Friends" feature lets customers share live entertainment events with friends, which will help users get tickets near each other even if they buy their tickets separately. CoreLogic Hires Investment Bankers
Santa Ana-based CoreLogic, a provider of real estate and mortgage databases and information, said Monday afternoon that it has hired investment banking firm Greenhill & Co., to explore "alternatives to enhance shareholder value." The firm said it is looking at everything from changes in capital structure, disposition of business lines, potential sale, or a business combination as a part of the effort. Telcentris Boosts Sales Team
San Diego-based Telcentris, the operator of the VoxOx and VoxOx in Business voice-over-IP services, said last week that it has bolstered its sales team, hiring a new VP of Wholesale Sales. The firm said it has hired Mark Peterson to the new position, to drive its wholesale growth strategy. Peterson reports to Tad Nikolich, VP of Business Sales for Telcentris. Peterson has previously served at CommPartners, Mpower Communications, Allegiant Air, WestAir Holding/United Express, and AirCal.

Zeebo Raises $17M
San Diego-based Zeebo, a developer of a wireless, digital entertainment and education system, initially targeted at the global market, has raised $17M in a new funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. Zeebo has previously raised funding from Qualcomm. Savings.com Launches Community Forums, Badges
Los Angeles-based Savings.com, the online coupon and deals site headed by Loren Bendele, has rolled out two new features today, aimed at boosting the social aspects of the site. Savings.com said it has launched a new, community forum, which will allow users to discuss topics around saving money, and to share deals. DTS Powers LG Electronics 3D Smartphone
Calabasas-based DTS, the provider of surround sound and other audio technology, said today that LG Electronics is using its technology in a new smartphone. DTS said its technology has been integrated into the LG Optimus 3D, to provide a 3D audio experience. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Kurion Sees Progress At Fukushima
Irvine-based Kurion, a startup which has been commercializing nuclear cleanup technology which is venture backed by Lux Capital and Firelake Capital Management, reported today that its technology has helped to drop cesium levels in the contaminated water at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant by more than 40 percent since June. Eucalyptus Upgrades Cloud Software
Santa Barbara-based Eucalyptus has upgraded its cloud computing software, saying last week that it has released Eucalyptus 3, its third generation infrastructure-as-a-service software for cloud computing. The software is aimed at enterprises, who want to maintain private and hybrid clouds. Dreamworks In Online Distribution Deal In China
Glendale-based Dreamworks Animation SKG said today that it has inked its first, online distribution agreement ever in China, to distribute its KungFu Panda films in Mainland China via Internet TV firm Youku.com. DreamWorks said the deal will make its Kung Fu Panda titles available for on-demand viewing via Youku's premium services and its Hollywood Movie channel. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Youku is an online video site catering to the Chinese market.

LiveOffice Connects Into Salesforce.com
Torrance-based LiveOffice, the developer of cloud-based email archiving and compliance services, reported today that it has connected its product with Salesforce.com. LiveOffice said it has announced a new, LiveOffice Outlook Email Connector, which allows users to view email, attachments, and Chatter posts within Salesforce.com. RealD Inks Deal In China
Los Angeles-based RealD, the developer of 3D movie projection technology, announced this morning that it has inked a deal with Chinese theatre chain Beijing SAGA Luxury Cinema Management Co, Ltd.. RealD said that it will install its technology at all of SAGA's current theatre locations. Financial details of the deal were not announced. RealD said the win will result in the installation of its 3D technology in 100 auditoriums across China.
