    RoyaltyShare Buys IDEA


    San Diego-based RoyaltyShare said today that it has acquired Los Angeles-based Independent Digital Entertainment & Arts LLC (IDEA), a provider of outsourced content management services for the music industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. RoyaltyShare said that it will use the acquisition to expand its services to include digital content management and delivery services, and that it will continue to maintain IDEA's offices in West Hollywood. RoyaltyShare develops systems used by record labels to track online music royalties and sales. IDEA provides ripping, encoding, storage, delivery, and management of digital content, and was founded in 2004.
