    SAP Buys Los Angeles Software Firm


    SAP AG announced that it has acquired Los Angeles-based A2i, a provider of enterprise-wide product content management and cross-media catalog publishing tools. According to SAP, the acquisition will broaden SAP's data management capabilities for its NetWeaver application platform. A2i was founded in 1993 and is the developer of the xCat content management tool. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. A2i has developers in both Los Angeles and Israel.
