Shopzilla Opens Lab Site
Los Angeles-based comparison shopping site Shopzilla has opened up a new web site focused on showcasing its research projects. The company said that its new zLabs site (zlabs.shopzilla.com) will showcase the company's latest technical innovations. The new site will allow users to use pre-released versions of Shopzilla's comparison shopping service. Shopzilla said that the first research project to be shown will be Robozilla, a service which automatically clusters and aligns products in an automated way. Shopzilla is the former Bizrate.com, and was recently purchased by E.W. Scripps for $525M.
