    Xingtone Signs Roxio

Los Angeles-based Xingtone announced this morning that it has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Roxio. Xingtone's new ringtone software will be marketed and distributed by Roxio at retail stores. Xington's Ringtone Creator is a retail software package that allows consumers to convert MP3, WAV, or other music files into musical ringtones for mobile phones. The software adds to Xingtone's existing musical ringtone download service, and also supports over-the-air updates for downloading the new ringtones to mobile phones. The company said that its new software will support both the Mac and PC, and will be available at retail outlets in late spring of 2005.
