    Xingtone Raises Series A


    Los Angeles-based Xingtone announced that it has received a first round of funding from Siemens Mobile Acceleration. Xingtone provides an application which allows Internet users to create custom ringtones, using MP3 or CD libraries. The application also allows users to upload images and games to their wireless handsets. Siemens Mobile Acceleration is a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens which focuses on making seed level investments in the wireless and mobile space. Sven Weber of Siemens Mobile, and Ovid Santoro have joined Xingtone's board of directors.
