Akonix Adds Microsoft Office Live Communications Server Support
San Diego-based Akonix rolled out new support for Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 this week, as the instant messaging firewall software firm looks to secure additional instant messaging protocols. Akonix said that it will support the newly released Microsoft instant messaging product. Akonix provides tools which allow companies to manage public and private instant messaging traffic, including regulatory logging and archiving and filtering. Microsoft's new tool aims to connect both public instant messaging networks and internal enterprise instant messaging as a business tool, and comes as instant messaging has become an accepted business communication tool.
