Oracle Invests In Sophoi
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced Wednesday afternoon that it has invested in Los Angeles-based Sophoi, a developer of enterprise intellectual property management software. The strategic minority investment comes shortly after Oracle and Sophoi announced a partnership to provide solutions to the media and entertainment industry. LARTA Launches New Venture Fund
Larta Institute said today that it has launched a new venture capital fund, T2 Venture Capital, which will invest in startups spinning out of government and academia. The new venture capital fund will be headed by Victor Hwang and Greg Horowitt. The firm said that it has closed its inagural venture capital fund, T2 Venture Partners, L.L.C., but did not disclose the size of the fund. ID Analytics Finds $20M
San Diego-based ID Analytics, a company developing identity fraud prevention products, said today that it has raised $20M in a Series C funding. The new round was led by Investor Growth Capital, and also included existing investors Canaan Partners, Trinity Ventures, and Mission Ventures. ID Analytics said that the new round of funding will go towards expanding its portfolio of products and solutions. babystyle Acquires Cadeau Maternity, Raises $11M
Los Angeles-based babystyle, the venture-backed retailer of maternity and baby products, announced today that it has acquired Cadeau Maternity, and raised $11M in funding from Global Retail Partners and Oak Investment Partners. Vitesse Ships Server Management Chip
Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor has shipped a new chip focused on server management. The company said today that it has unveiled a new integrated server basedboard management controller, targeted at computer server manufacturers. The new chip allows companies to design in remote server management features. Remote server management features are built into high end servers to allow administrators to manage PCs remotely, using LAN connections and KVM modules. Visual Sciences Adds Ad Campaign Analytics
San Diego-based Visual Sciences, the provider of web analytics applications that was formerly known as WebSideStory, said today that it has delivered an upgraded ad campaign analytics and optimization product. The firm's Visual Site product now supports tracking lifetime advertisement impressions, click-throughs, conversion tracking, and analytics. Visual Sciences is a provider of web analytics software, used by companies to analyze their web site traffic.
